HERO SECTION

"The Xochiquetzal Center: Where Ancestral Knowledge Rebuilds community Health"
A restorative framework for biocultural wellbeing, co-designed by the community.

"This is not building. it is an act of biocultural restoration.
A place where ancestral science is validated, matronas are sustained, and health is co-designed by the community itself".
Recognition
Formal Recognition & Validation of Ancestral Science
We move beyond "cultural competency" to formal recognition. Our Center establishes the protocols, research partnership, and certifications that validate ancestral midwifery, temazcal as somatic therapy, and dance as neurobiological regulation. We are creating the framework for hospitals, schools. and funders to engage this knowledge not as folklore, but as a vital, evidence-based system of community well-being. This is the foundation: honoring Indigenous science as public health.
Co-Design
Community as Expert & Sovereign Designer
We do no "serve" the community; we are the community designing its own solutions. Every program- for the Doula Institute to the Temazcal-is co-created by Indigenous matronas, elders, and youth. This ensures our work is not an outside intervention, but the organic expression of collective sovereignty. Partnership here means entering a circle, not delivering a service.
SUSTENANCE
INVESTING IN THE KEEPERS OF KNOWLEDGE
True sustainability means dignified, fair compensation for Indigenous matronas and knowledge holders. This Center includes a Social Enterprise Fund that directly sustains the practitioners, ensuring their work is valued as essential community infrastructure. This is economic justice-where the keepers of wisdom are also the owners of their legacy.
WHY THIS IS SYSTEMS CHANGE
This is Not a Program, It's a Parallel System
We are not adding a cultural component to broken system. We are demonstrating a complete, parallel system that is inherently holistic, effective, and just. Our success is measured by:
Restored biocultural connection replacing diagnosed isolation and alienation.
Communal perinatal outcomes that surpass clinical benchmarks for maternal-infant health.
A generation of youth who are cultural bearers and healers, not patients in waiting.
INVESTMENT AS RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
Your investment is an act of Restorative Justice
"Funding this Center is reparations made tangible. It declares: "You knowledge is valid science. Your community is the expert. Your work deserves investment, not just gratitude."
